5x5. Seth Apter's collaborative art project.

If you are the least bit drawn to the creative world you really must follow Seth Apter's blog: The Altered Page.

5x5 is his latest project. Here is what he has to say about it:
"I may be the author of The Pulse of Mixed Media but the true, creative force behind my book is the group of artists who generously shared their secrets and passions and, of course, their art. It was important to me that this book be representative of our entire artistic community, but the total number of contributors I could include was limited by the number of pages in the book. Not wanting to be contained by page numbers, I decided that the Internet was the perfect vehicle to extend the book and be able to include more of the community. With this in mind, the 5x5 Pulse Project was born."

I was lucky enough to be included in The Pulse of Mixed Media. My artwork is about my sweet Grandson.

Now I have been included in the 5x5 Project, along with some amazing artists including a personal friend - Debbie Guthrie :)

Debbie also has one of her pieces in the 5x5 project which is being featured in a ten-page spread in the November/December 2012 issue of Somerset Studio, now available in stores and online. Way to go, Debbie!

There are so many wonderful artists and pieces of art in the 5x5 Project. At the time of writing this post, there are already 6 Chapters to explore at The Altered Page. When you visit, be sure to check out the links on Seth's sidebar. There are MANY creative delights to discover there! Not to mention the tabs at the top that link you to all of his artful endeavours. While you are at it, sign up for his newsletter and follow him on Facebook , Twitter and YouTube. He even has DVD's that you can collect.

Seth keeps busy creating art, exhibiting, teaching, writing columns and working on collaborations to get all of us connected. Who knows what he will come up with next? You can be sure there is more than one thing up his sleeve. His generosity of spirit is contagious. Thank you, Seth, for being you!
