A New Look for a New Year

It's going to be a great year - I could feel it before the old year even ended. My creative juices are flowing and ideas for my new mixed media painting series abound! I have soaked up images and ideas from newly purchased art books. The list of titles is posted on the sidebar. I have bound a journal purposely for this upcoming series - somewhere to paste images, jot ideas, draw sketches and generally capture the essence of what it is I am trying to create.

 I am starting the EnVisioning process in Sheri Gaynor's book "Creative Awakenings", having already created my Dream Journal and delved into what went on last year in great detail. I found myself loving bookbinding over the last part of 2009 and created "Coptic Allsorts", small blank journals with alternating colourful papers which I am now selling. There will be more about these soon.

And the creating continued yesterday with the new header for my blog. Photoshop rocks! And of course, so does my iMac ( :
